Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall

Atlanta, Georgia
2013

The ever-cool brunch ATL crowd loves this place.

A Wes Anderson meets Bear Grylls restaurant in Atlanta that offers elevated camping favorites along with farm-to-table local deliciousness. Located right off of the Atlanta Beltline, the south's response to the New York City Highline, this delightfully campy restaurant embraces the nostalgic days of summer camp while supplying walkers and bikers with good eats and craft beers.

Working closely with the architects, owners, chefs and interior designers, I developed the logo, brand system and much of the language that’s still—amazingly—embraced ten years later. Being able to develop a graphic system in tandem with menus and industrial design was an adventure in materials and beyond-the-pixel inspiration.

"Ladybird produces a fun, harmonious experience out of what could have been a cheesy, thematic disaster."
